I believe that most people are capable of solving problems related to daily living, but that sometimes they become stuck. My goal is to help them become unstuck by offering them an opportunity and an environment in which to explore alternate solutions. I help people define and work towards achieving peace and balance in their lives, which in turn will positively impact their relationships and their careers.
Choosing the right therapist is an important decision and a good fit is necessary for progress. Effective therapy brings about growth and change in an atmosphere of safety, trust, and collaboration.
My name is Monica Simpson and I help people define and work towards achieving peace and balance; positively impacting their day-to-day interactions, careers and relationships. Our journey on the path to healing begins by acknowledging and working through past hurts that continue to impact your present, understanding past decisions to make different choices in the future, and learning new skills related to self-care and relationships. I have a heart and desire for helping people. It is my goal to support you as you achieve your fullest potential and start on the path to a better life and the best version of you.
I graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. After several years I discovered my passion in helping people. I returned to school and earned a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Amridge University in Montgomery, Alabama. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor certified by the State Board of Professional Examiners for the State of Texas (#65844) providing psychotherapy and counseling services to adults and couples in the Grand Prairie/Arlington/DFW area and beyond thanks to telehealth.

On a personal note:
I’m the mother of two beautiful, strong and well-adjusted adult daughters. As millennials, they are very much a part of the changing society and they help to keep me updated on current trends so that I may better serve my clients.
I love to spend my free time immersed in a book, or two, or three! There is a rich world of knowledge that is available and I want to gain as much of it as I can and then pass it on to those in my circle – whether personally or professionally. I think of reading and learning as a journey; it’s not the end of the book or workshop or presentation that is important but what I’ve learned about myself during the process.
My other great passion is traveling. Whether on top of a mountain or with my toes in the sand, I am reminded of God’s love for me as I’m surrounded by His creation.
